Formed from terra cotta drawn from the heart of the earth, hand-painted with our signature patterns by our master artisans, and embellished with gold lustre. Look carefully at the Courtly Checks® because, like many matters of the heart, there’s more there than meets the eye. A beautiful juxtaposition of ivory and onyx, our deceptively simple signature checks reveal an intricate spectrum of jewel-toned colors. Handmade, fired, glazed, fired again, hand-painted, embellished with lustre, and fired again, each piece is stamped by the artisans involved in its creation.
